Charles Magnante - Fiesta! (1964)

I posted this album a while ago, but I'd messed up and posted Carnival instead.  Well, finally here is the correct album and sleeve.

Especially for those of us in the UK who are enjoying this Indian summer.  Should hit 26 today and 29 tomorrow.  Phew, what a scorcher!

Music Of Mystery Mayhem And Murder (1965)

Unforunately, not quite as exciting as the cover would suggest, but a good mid-sixties spy related album for all that.

Stan Butcher - His Birds And Brass (1966)

DMCA COMPLAINT AGAIN.  LINK COLLAPSED

Four years before Barbara Moore sung on the wonderful Birds 'N Brass album with Keith Roberts she worked on a similar project with Stan Butcher.  No, not as funky as Sort Of Soul, but it does have it moments with Clunky being a good example.

Been meaning to post this since the summer but forgotten all about it.  A nice album from Lenny.

Meco - Star Wars And Other Galactic Funk (1977)

DMCA COMPLAINT AGAIN.  LINK COLLAPSED

A classic album this.  I apologise in advance for not separating the tracks.  I did try, but they all run into each other and it turned into a bit of a nightmare.

Sinfonia '72 (1972)

One of the many "greatest session men" albums.  This is a good one though.  Check out their spectacular version of Wichita Lineman.

Dedicated to those who lost their lives in the Twin Towers.  Have a good weekend everyone.

Alan Tew - Tom Springfield - Latin Style (1969) and Magnificent Swingers (1970)

DMCA COMPLAINT AGAIN.  LINK COLLAPSED

I've posted these two great Alan Tew albums before but my original posts were a little scratchy.  I was lucky enough last week to find them again in almost perfect condition in my local British Heart Foundation.  So I thought they deserved a second chance.

Roland Shaw - The Look Of Love (1968)

The man who claims not to like vocal albums has posted nothing but over the last few days.  Here's one more from the sensational Roland Shaw.

Leroy Holmes - For A Few Dollars More (1968)

DMCA COMPLAINT AGAIN.  LINK COLLAPSED

The posts are coming thick and fast at the moment as I want to clear some of the stuff I've encoded this summer but not got round to posting yet.  Great album from Leroy Holmes, here's the title track.

Andy Ross And His Orchestra - The Godfather (1972)

DMCA COMPLAINT AGAIN.  LINK COLLAPSED

A great little album from Andy Ross.  OK, so some of it is a little hard going, but when it's good, it's good.  The versions of The Persuaders and Jason King are spot on.

Voices In Latin (1968)

DMCA COMPLAINT AGAIN.  LINK COLLAPSED

As you know I don't really like vocal albums, but when the vocals are by Barbara Moore, then well, there are exceptions to the rule!

Birds 'N Brass - Soundsational (1970)

The brainchild of Keith Roberts, Birds 'N Brass derived their unique sound from conventional brass, guitar, etc and fused this with the wonderful voice of Barbara Moore (an album from her coming over the weekend) and with the Trivox, a weird electronic accordion.

Birds 'N Brass released one more album in 1973; which is just as good.  I'll try and post that soon.

Porbably the finest album released on the legendary Rediffusion label.

American Woman and Sort Of Soul
