The Sound Gallery - 24 Musical Masterpieces (1995)

This fantastic compilation caused a bit of a buzz for a while in 1995 as it brought attention to the fantastic world of library, lounge and easy listening music that we all love so much.  The tracks are culled mainly from the archives of KPM and EMI's Studio 2 series.

Wonderful stuff.  Volume two coming soon.

Paddy Kingsland - Fourth Dimension - BBC Radiophonic Workshop (1973)

Brilliant album from KPM and BBC Radiophonic stalwart Paddy Kingsland.  A bit crackly in places but I'm sure that won't spoil your enjoyment.  Vespucci

Malcolm Lockyer Orchestra - Themes For TV (1975)

Link collapsed due to DMCA complaint

A really tremendous album this.  Malcolm Lockyer's wonderful TV Themes album, which were all the rage at the time.  Side One is uptempo and funky and side two...er, isn't.

This is his version of Alan Tew's Hanged Man, AKA The Detectives. And Midweek.

Great Film Themes (1966)

Link collapsed due to DMCA complaint.

An album that have been hanging around unposted for quite a while.  Some nice interpretations on here, including Mike Leander's great version of The Silencers.

Robert James Orchestra - Take A Break (Studio 2 Stereo) (1972)

Mmm...couldn't find anything Royal to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee weekend here in the UK, so I thought I'd go for the next best thing...a record that I'm sure is in Her Majesty's collection.

The Right One.

Lenny Dee - Relaxin' (1967)

Phew! It's a right scorcher over here in Blighty at the moment.  I think the ladies on the cover must be a little hot too by the looks of it.  Anyway, grab a glass of lemonade and stick this on.

The Easy Project II - House Of Loungecore (1996)

Firstly, many apologies for not posting more regularly.  This is due to various reasons, the main one being the DMCA complaints that Blogger and Mediafire have been getting from our old friend Mr Ebay Wise.  It's got to the point, at least for me, where it all seems a bit pointless.  Fair enough, those old records are copyright, but really they're long out of print and I very much doubt anyone is losing financially over this page, but there you go.  My intention has never been to make any money from this blog - I have never received a penny - or a cent - or whatever currency you use - only to share great records I've bought over the last 30 years or so.

It's a shame that one vindictive individual can cause so many problems to people he will never know.

Antonio Pedro Hatch - The Cool Latin Sound (1968)

What better way to get set for a snowy weekend than with this cool album from Antonio Pedro, AKA Tony Hatch.

One of my favourite albums.  Here's Birds.

Sounds Orchestral - Words (1968)

This site is just like a bus.  Nothing for ages and  then two come along at once.  This one should make the audiophiles a little happier, not so much crackle and pop.

Includes the best version of Soul Coaxing too, I reckon and a great version of Donovan's Jennifer Juniper.

Mike Leander Orchestra - Together (1969)

Firstly, a belated happy New Year to you all.  Secondly, apologies for the lack of posts since before Christmas.  Sometimes life just gets in the way.  Anyway, I'm back on track now with these nice LP from Mike Leander, best known for writing and producing a lot of Gary Glitter's hits in the 70s.

Unfortunately, this album is a little scratchy, particularly after our cat jumped on the turntable while I was recording it!  Still, hopefully that won't spoil your enjoyment too much.
